Notes

'John Huxtable' clematis (Clematis 'John Huxtable') is a vine for containers, cottage gardens, specimen planting, and privacy screens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. It is a seedling of 'Comtesse de Bouchaud', and it bears white blooms. Bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and birds visit it.

Pairs well with David garden phlox, Standing Ovation little bluestem, and Jane magnolia.
