Notes

'John M. Lewis' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'John M. Lewis') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Large, double flowers open in late spring with rose-pink outer petals around a lighter pink center. The blooms are mildly fragrant, and some have a thin crimson edge. Mr. and Mrs. 'John M. Lewis' bred it.

Pairs well with Rainbow's End hosta, Monkshood, Christmas fern, and Picture tulip.
