Notes
'Joyful Clouds' peony (Paeonia 'Joyful Clouds') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its fragrant yellow flowers are semi-double with ruffled inner petals, and the plant grows upright to 22 inches without support. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Roger F. Anderson bred it.
Pairs well with Sum and Substance hosta, Blonde Ambition blue grama, and Phantom panicle hydrangea.
