Notes

'Jupiter' checkered lily (Fritillaria meleagris 'Jupiter') is a bulb for borders, cottage gardens, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, sandy or loamy soil. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Its arching stems carry chequered red flowers from early to late spring. It grows 20 to 25 cm high.

Pairs well with Cheerfulness daffodil, Empress Wu hosta, and Sedge.
