Notes

'Artemis' checkered lily (Fritillaria meleagris 'Artemis') is a bulb for borders, cottage gardens, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, sandy or loamy soil. The arching stems carry checkered purple and green flowers in early to late spring. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first.

Pairs well with Cheerfulness daffodil, Spanish bluebell, Big Daddy hosta, and Sedge.
