Notes

'Justa' clematis (Clematis 'Justa') is a vine for containers, cottage gardens, specimen use, and privacy screens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Light purple blooms with violet stripes open in spring, summer, and autumn, and bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds visit them. L. Bakevicius bred it. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Lungwort, Serviceberry, and Standing Ovation little bluestem.
