'Kajura-Jima' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Kajura-Jima') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The flowers are single, which gives the bush an open, simple look in the garden.

Pairs well with Lenten rose, Hardy geranium, Greig's tulip, and Prairie dropseed.
