Notes
'Kamada' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Kamada') is a shrub for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Give it a spot where its woody stems can stay in place from year to year, since a tree peony does not die back to the ground like a perennial peony.
Pairs well with Lenten rose, Hardy geranium, and Greig's tulip.
