'Kamata-fuji' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Kamata-fuji') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It grows up to 45 inches tall, so it can anchor the back of a border or bed. Wada bred it in 1937.

Pairs well with September Charm anemone, Blue Mouse Ears hosta, Switchgrass, and Niobe clematis.
