Notes

'Kate Elizabeth' peony (Paeonia 'Kate Elizabeth') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, cut flowers, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. The double lavender plum flowers measure 24 to 25 cm and sit well above the foliage. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. John and Dot McFarlane introduced it in 1997.

Pairs well with Lenten rose, Lily, Blue Arrow Rocky mountain juniper, and Lungwort.
