Notes

'Ki Setsudoe' vine maple (Acer circinatum 'Ki Setsudoe') is a small tree for specimen planting, woodland gardens, and fall color. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes part sun. New leaves open bright orange-pink in spring, turn green in summer, and glow yellow to orange in fall. It grows about half as fast as a vine maple and tends to form a multi-trunked large shrub. You can expect about 8 to 10 feet in 10 years.

Pairs well with Duke blueberry, Lady's slipper orchid, Northwind switchgrass, and Snowdrop.
