Notes

'Kiku' apple (Malus domestica 'Kiku') is a tree for the food garden. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It has a dense habit and grows at a moderate rate. Bees visit the blossoms in early to late spring. Kiku is a red sport of 'Fuji' that 'Luis Braun' found in 1990.

Pairs well with Nepeta, Weigela, Pink Impression tulip, and Cheyenne Spirit echinacea.
