'King of the Striped' autumn crocus (Crocus 'King of the Striped') is a bulb for borders, containers, rock gardens, and lawns. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun. Purple bases open into large white petals veined with purple. Blooms appear in early to late spring. If you plant it in a lawn, hold off on mowing as long as you can so the bulbs build up energy for next year.
Pairs well with Picture tulip, Snowdrop, Dalmatian bellflower, and Blush peony.
