Notes

Kinshi peony (Paeonia 'Kinshi (see Chromatella)') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, cut flowers, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. It grows 36 to 78 inches tall with an erect habit. Flowers open in early to late spring and attract butterflies.

Pairs well with Maltese cross, Lily, and Niobe clematis.
