Notes

'Kiowa' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Kiowa') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It bears single light red blooms in early to mid spring. The plant has good stems, and the cut flowers last exceptionally well. Edward Auten, Jr bred it.

Pairs well with Francee hosta, Indian Summer rudbeckia, Picture tulip, and Ostrich fern.
