Notes
'Kleim' forest gardenia (Gardenia jasminoides 'Kleim') is a shrub for borders, containers, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade and dry to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. The star-like white flowers have an intense fragrance and appear most heavily in early summer. Plant it in a protected spot where a wall or patio adds warmth. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal.
Pairs well with Tea plant, Carolina jessamine, and Tuberose.
