Notes
'Kokonoe' clematis (Clematis Florida 'Kokonoe') is a vine for trellises, fences, walls, and patio containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. The deep purple double blooms open looking single, then grow a central mound of small petals. It blooms from June to October. Its roots like to stay cool, so add mulch or plant low growers around the base.
Pairs well with Peony, Mountain mint, and Snapdragon.
