Notes

'Kokuryū' Japanese wisteria (Wisteria floribunda 'Kokuryū') is a vine for arbors, pergolas, and fences. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Deer tend to browse other plants first. Fragrant flowers open in early to late spring. It climbs and grows at a rapid rate, so give it a sturdy support.

Pairs well with Gladiator ornamental onion, Buffalo grass, and Royal fern.
