Notes

'Kuroki' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Kuroki') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It bears rose-pink Japanese type blooms in early summer. Ernest Flint Kelsey bred it. The tips of the staminodes may discolor slightly in some weather.

Pairs well with Incrediball hydrangea, Sedge, and Grape hyacinth.
