Notes

'La Canadienne' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'La Canadienne') is a tall perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Strong stems carry huge white flowers in late spring. The blooms open perfectly and last many days before dropping. Dr. Frederick G. Brethour bred it.

Pairs well with Incrediball hydrangea, Sedge, Grape hyacinth, and Lilac.
