Notes

'Lactea' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Lactea') is a shrub for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It stays short, so it fits well near the front of a border. The white blooms carry purple flares at the center and make a bold show in a vase. M. David bred it.

Pairs well with Korean spice viburnum, Cinnamon fern, Blue fescue, and Carnaval De Nice tulip.
