Notes

'Lady Jane' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Lady Jane') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Rich red anemone bomb blooms open early, in early to mid spring. The stiff stems stand tall, so the flowers hold up well when cut. Edward Auten, Jr bred it.

Pairs well with Purrsian Blue nepeta, Immortality iris, Miss Kim lilac, and Western sword fern.
