Lamb Hass avocado

Garden uses

Notes

'Lamb Hass' avocado (Persea americana 'Lamb Hass') is a tree for the food garden. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 9 and warmer, down to about 20°F (-7°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes full or part sun. It has an upright, compact habit and glossy evergreen leaves. The fruit has black skin and ripens over a longer period than Hass. It needs a B Type tree nearby for cross pollination.

Pairs well with Loquat, Granny Smith apple, and Nightshade.
