Notes
'Lan-He' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Lan-He') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It grows upright with many branches and suckers. The single lilac blue flowers reach 7.2 inches across and have purplish black blotches at the base. Strong stems hold the blooms above the leaves.
Pairs well with Rose, Standing Ovation little bluestem, Pink Impression tulip, and Lily.
