Notes

'Lan Xi' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Lan Xi') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It bears fragrant, violet double flowers in early to late spring. Purple-red flares reach out from the center of each bloom. The upright plant grows about 90cm tall.

Pairs well with Iris, Sum and Substance hosta, and Greig's tulip.
