Notes
'Late Date' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Late Date') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The double flowers open light pink in late spring and age to cream. Arching stems reach about 32 inches, so you may want to stake them. William Henry Krekler bred it.
Pairs well with Incrediball hydrangea, Spanish bluebell, Sedge, and Sensitive fern.
