Notes

Lebanese fritillary (Fritillaria elwesii) is a bulb for containers and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Its upright stems hold pendulous green and burgundy bells that bees visit. Give it good drainage.

Pairs well with Black Hero tulip, Alexander Fleming peony, and Compass plant.
