Notes
'Legend' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Legend') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its large double blooms open deep rose-pink and age to a lighter shade. They appear in mid to late spring and early summer on erect, stiff stems. R.H. Jones bred it.
Pairs well with Siberian squill, Ostrich fern, and Picture tulip.
