Notes
'Lembrose' peony (Paeonia 'Lembrose') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Its fragrant, double, cherry-red to rose blooms show a flower-in-flower form and attract butterflies and bees. The upright stems reach about 32 inches and need no support.
Pairs well with Magnus coneflower, Blonde Ambition blue grama, First Frost hosta, and Black Parrot tulip.
