Notes

'Lemon Drops' peony (Paeonia 'Lemon Drops') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Lemon-yellow blooms with red flares open in early to late spring and attract butterflies. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Derek Irvine bred it.

Pairs well with Jeana garden phlox, Elegans hosta, Blue fescue, and Lily.
