Notes

Limestone meadow sedge (Carex granularis) is a grass for meadow plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and dry to moist, clay soil. Its pale, glaucous leaves form a rosette. The fruit looks like a small corncob. It adapts to difficult soils and grows up to 36 inches tall.

Pairs well with Royal fern, False Solomon's seal, and Cinnamon fern.
