Notes

'Little Red Gem' peony (Paeonia 'Little Red Gem') is a perennial for rock gardens, borders, cottage gardens, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Slender, strong stems hold single, fragrant red blooms above a 12 to 18 inch mound of fine cut foliage. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. David Reath bred it.

Pairs well with Stella de Oro daylily, Blue grama, Black Hero tulip, and Guacamole hosta.
