Notes
'Long-Yuan-Zhuang-Shi' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Long-Yuan-Zhuang-Shi') is a shrub for borders and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The double flowers are shaped like hydrangeas, measure 8 inches across, and have a heavy fragrance. Stout, well-branched stems carry the blooms above the leaves, and the plant grows over three feet tall.
Pairs well with Toad lily, Cinnamon fern, Carnaval De Nice tulip, and Blue fescue.
