loosestrife

Notes

Loosestrife (Lysimachia paridiformis) is a perennial for shade gardens, woodland gardens, and groundcover. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist soil. Shiny, dark green leaves grow in whorls, and clusters of bright yellow flowers appear at the top in summer. It grows in a clump and will not spread. The leaves stay evergreen in milder zones.

Pairs well with Liberty hosta, Lady fern, White bigleaf hydrangea, and Autumn fern.
