Notes

'Lord Hindlip' apple (Malus domestica 'Lord Hindlip') is a tree for the food garden, grown for fresh eating and cooking. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Mr Watkins bred it in 1896. The fruit keeps for 3 months or more, and the flavor is best early in the new year. It holds its shape when cooked, and white spring flowers attract bees.

Pairs well with High-bush blueberry, Burnet, and Black Parrot tulip.
