Notes

'Louisville' peony (Paeonia 'Louisville') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant, single flowers are a clear, deep cerise pink that fades lighter. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Edward Auten, Jr bred it.

Pairs well with Fire and Ice hosta, Moonshine yarrow, Sweet pepperbush, and Blonde Ambition blue grama.
