'Love Pat' hosta (Hosta 'Love Pat') is a perennial for shade gardens, borders, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average moisture. It blooms from early to late summer, and bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds visit the flowers. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. The blooms are fragrant, so plant it near a path or seat.

Pairs well with White phlox, Pinky Winky panicle hydrangea, and Canada wild rye.
