Notes
'Lutetiana' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Lutetiana') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Modeste Guérin bred it in 1840. The fragrant pink blooms have lilac shading and a lighter center, and they open from late spring to early summer.
Pairs well with New Jersey tea, Grape hyacinth, and Sedge.
