Notes

'Lyra' peony (Paeonia 'Lyra') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Rose-pink flowers with maroon flares open in early to late spring. Sidebuds open after the main buds, which extends the bloom season. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits.

Pairs well with Liberty hosta, Maltese cross, and Korean spice viburnum.
