Notes
'Maestro' peony (Paeonia 'Maestro') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. The double dark red blooms are fragrant and hold their color for some time. Edward Auten, Jr bred it. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first.
Pairs well with Dancing Queen hosta, PowWow White coneflower, and Blonde Ambition blue grama.
