Notes

'Magharee' iris (Iris 'Magharee') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, cut flowers, and accents. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist, sandy or loamy soil. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. It blooms in early to late spring and again in early to late summer. Butterflies visit the flowers.

Pairs well with Florentine Silk iris, Lupine, Hardy geranium, and Prinzessin Victoria Louise oriental poppy.
