Notes

'Magnifique' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Magnifique') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Roger F. Anderson bred it. The large pink double blooms have a ball form with a pom pom look and a sweet scent. Strong stems hold the flowers up without staking, and the plant grows 30 to 36 inches tall in a barrel shape.

Pairs well with Japanese spirea, Ostrich fern, and Sedge.
