Notes

'Mai Fleuri' peony (Paeonia 'Mai Fleuri') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Large, fragrant flowers open early with salmon-white petals veined dark violet at the base. Victor Lemoine bred it, and the foliage is bronzy green. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal.

Pairs well with Big Daddy hosta, Anise hyssop, Queen of Night tulip, and Christmas fern.
