Notes

'Malonyana' American arborvitae (Thuja occidentalis 'Malonyana') is a shrub for privacy screens, hedges, specimen planting, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, loamy or clay soil. Deer tend to browse other plants first. It grows slowly into a dense, fragrant evergreen form that needs little care. Birds visit it.

Pairs well with Wintergreen, PowWow White coneflower, and Blonde Ambition blue grama.
