Notes

'Mammoth' sunflower (Helianthus annuus 'Mammoth') is an annual for borders, pollinator gardens, and food gardens. It is not cold-hardy and will not survive freezing temperatures. This plant likes full sun, average moisture, and sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows fast to 8 to 12 feet tall and has large yellow heads. Deer tend to pass it by. Bees, butterflies, and birds visit the flowers, and it is grown for its high-quality seeds.

Pairs well with Spitfire nasturtium, Zucchini, and Red fescue.
