Notes

'Marcus' sage (Salvia nemorosa 'Marcus') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy soil. It forms a low clump of fragrant, deep violet flowers from late spring through autumn. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Standing Ovation little bluestem, Jeana garden phlox, and Pink Impression tulip.
