Notes

'Marie Fischer' peony (Paeonia 'Marie Fischer') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. The ruffled, fragrant blooms open yellow to buff and age to pink buff. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. Hubert A. Fischer bred it, and it first bloomed in 1969.

Pairs well with Pyrethrum, Dittany, Blue Muffin arrowwood viburnum, and Black Hero tulip.
