Notes

'Mathieu' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Mathieu') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Give it a spot where its woody stems can stay in place from year to year.

Pairs well with Blue Angel hosta, Balloon flower, and Christmas fern.
