Garden uses

Notes

Memorial rose (Rosa luciae) is a large rambling shrub for ground cover, especially on slopes. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun. It blooms in early to mid summer with clusters of single, white, lightly fragrant flowers with yellow stamens. The flowers bloom only once a season. Orange-red hips follow them, and the glossy, dark green leaves can stay semi-evergreen in milder climates.

Pairs well with Ocean spray, Clematis, and Purple Pillar rose of sharon.
