Notes

'Memories' carnation (Dianthus 'Memories') is a perennial for borders, containers, cottage gardens, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average soil of most types. Its fragrant flowers bloom in spring, summer, and autumn. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Lamb’s ear, Lavenite Petite lavender, Chocolate Ruffles coral bells, and Blue fescue.
